To vacuum your pool, please follow the directions below.  You will need to gather the following items; they are included in your pool package.

• Vacuum Head

• Telescopic Pole

• Vacuum Hose           

• Vacuum plate (elbow is optional)

1. Attach telescopic pole to the vacuum head handle.  The handle slides inside the pole and clips into place.  Extend the pole slightly by turning the cam to the left, pull and extend the pole.  Lock the pole into place by gently turning the cam to the right after it has been extended.
   
   
2. Attach the vacuum hose to the top of the opening on the vacuum head.
   
   
3. Submerge the vacuum head into the pool.
   
   
4. Take the opposite end of the vacuum hose and hold it in front of the return fitting while the filter is running.  This will fill the vacuum hose with water and remove air from it as well.
   
   
5. As you continue to hold the water-filled vacuum hose under water, slide and attach it to the vacuum plate.  Then put the vacuum plate inside the skimmer over the basket.  This may be easier to do with the filter off.
   
   
6. With the filter running give the filter a few minutes to allow the suction to start.
   
   
7. Vacuum slowly – when the pressure increases, the suction decreases.  Therefore, a filter will need to be backwashed after or during vacuuming if the pressure increases too quickly.  Pressure will increase depending on the amount of dirt being vacuumed.
